I received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Penn State University, my teacher's preparation and certification from Bloomsburg University, and a Masters in Educational Development and Strategies from Wilkes University. I am certified to teach Kindergarten to 6th grade and 7th to 12th grade English and Reading. I am continuing to take graduate level classes in order to stay up-to-date on the current educational trends that will enhance my daily classroom instruction.

I have been teaching with the Wyoming Area family for twelve years.  I am a 5th grade English Language Arts teacher at the Intermediate Center.  5th grade is fabulous and I love every minute of it!  Thank you, parents, for entrusting me with your greatest gift -- your children.

I live in Pittston Township with my husband, our sweet little daughter, Ella, and our rascally Irish Terrier, Dublin. I'm an avid reader and I love to watch movies. My husband is a Chemistry teacher and he is also an Army National Guard veteran who spent a year deployed in Iraq in 2006.  I am very proud of him and all of our men and women in uniform for serving our country.

My educational philosophy is that I aim to create a positive, warm learning environment in which students are challenged to learn and achieve at their highest potential.  I want to foster your child's independence, love of reading, self-esteem, and growth as compassionate individuals ready to problem solve in today's world.
